Employment Support Programs for Persons with Disabilities

Offers one to one support, both in person and remotely, for people with all types of disabilities so that they can succeed at home and in the workplace.
Offers one to one support, both in person and remotely, for people with all types of disabilities. Focusing on Innovation, Digital Literacy, Employment, and Assistive Technology, they offer immersive programs that teach people with disabilities how to use technology and succeed both at home and in the workplace, and they provide ergonomic solutions and access to affordable assistive technologies that remove barriers for people with disabilities.

The following programs are offered free of charge, province-wide:
  • Creative Employment Options: Helps people with disabilities prepare for, obtain and maintain employment. This unique, comprehensive and participant-centered program is designed to develop the skills required to help individuals achieve their employment goals.
  • Empower3D: Provides youth with disabilities the opportunity to develop skills and gain valuable work experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Computer Comfort: Offers one-on-one computer tutoring at no cost to qualifying participants in a supportive, client-centred environment; a refurbished donated computer for the home, if needed; and ongoing technical support. Please note, this program is only available to those in the Lower Mainland.
  • Distance Computer Comfort: The online version of the Computer Comfort Program - available throughout Canada. Tailoring to individuals with disabilities across the country, it allows for a flexible learning schedule without having to leave the comfort of your own home.
  • Makers Making Change: Connects makers to people with disabilities who need assistive technologies.
